Every year in May, in the small Italian town of Reggio Emilia, is held a great international event, the Festival of FOTOGRAFIA EUROPEA.
This year the inspirational theme is:
TIME MAPS // Memory, archive, future.
The Festival was inaugurated on May 5th, with many Photography exhibitions anywhere in the city , Conferences and Shows. This bus Vintage, transformed into photo booth , was the mascot! :-)
FOTOGRAFIA EUROPEA presents 30 OFFICIAL EXHISBITS in splendid locations in the City.
The CHIOSTRI DI SAN PIETRO,
are a wonderful setting that hosts important Exhibitions.

At PALAZZO DA MOSTO the theme is THE ARCHIVES OF THE FUTURE
various Photographers develop it in an innovative and interesting way...
like superimposing Google's imagery ...
...or portraying the most basic but poetic Daily Life
At PALAZZO DEI MUSEI
the GIOVANE FOTOGRAFIA ITALIANA presents the Exhibition "Loop",
with various interpretations of the continuous cycle of transformation between the past and the future
Another splendid location of the Official Exhibitions,
though very modern, is SPAZIO GERRA
The exhibition SUMMER OF LOVE
is really very impressive and makes dream! :-)
They are the images of the Revolution against war and violence,
the years of "Peace & Love", of "Community Era" and "Woodstock" !
Here you can also make a Psychedelic Sensory experience ! :D
... and on the third floor, will be exposed how the influence of
SUMMER OF LOVE has developed and both current
and avant-garde also Now ! :-)
... still other beautiful locations have important Official Exhibitions,

ATELIERS VIADUEGOBBITRE
is an old building in the Center of the City, the atmosphere is really Boho, the AUTONOMOUS ARTISTS live here and during the Festival all the Ateliers become an Exhibition!
the place is really impressive! :-)
The Church of S.CARLO E S.AGATA
is a place rich in atmosphere and mystery :-)
here you can find the very original Exhibition "SECRETO"of Marcella Vanzo, presented by the Association Flag no Flags.
Open Wednesdays and weekends until 30 June
The VIA ROMA area,
set up for the Circuit OFF, has been very successful!
Exhibitions in the courtyards of the ancient Noble Houses, or in the Popular Houses, in the Tavern or in the Laundry! ;-)
At ART YOU lab,
in the old City Center, are exposed the poetics "Projections Timeless"
of Riccardo Varini and the photographic group.
Open for about a month from the beginning of the Festival
The atmosphere is very nice ! :-)
... we met the Artists ... (in the image Alle Basso with his own work) ...
...and we made a toast with their ! :D
You can also see a Photo Exhibition
in the courtyard of the PREFECTURE !
Is one of the many Exhibit locations of the Photographic group "REfoto" !
The Exhibitions of CIRCUIT OFF are so many! the opening times follow free and anarchist calendar, some keep open a few days, some a month and some two months.... following them is an Exploration! :D

LA POLVERIERA
is a very nice new space, just outside the city center,
than featuring various OFF Exhibitions,
where you can take an aperitif and listen to music ! :-)

in Reggio Emilia, we met one of the Characters portrayed ...
the Emilian singer Fabrizio Tavernelli :-)

...... very impressive in the evening, this surreal Exhibition of CIRCUIT OFF,
METAMORPHOSIX, is located walking in Galleria San Rocco of CityCenter
During the inaugural WeekEnd of Festival,
the Cavallerizza Theater hosted
ALESSIO BERTALLOT & M.B.HARRIS
with "Echoes from Summer of Love"!
...and later we danced great music with the Dj set Marco Rigamonti! :D
